Move over Android phones because the new HTC Titan is here to give new meaning to the word “innovation.” These yet to be released smart phones from HTC Corporation are one of the few handsets to run in a Windows 7 operating system.

The imposing name of these smart phones is a clear indication that HDC Titan offers more than just a stunning display. The 16M colors S-LCD is big yet not that unpleasant to the eye at 4.7 inches. This screen is multi-touched enabled and has a gyroscope sensor that comes in handy when changing screen orientations. The display resolution is at 480 x 800 pixels. Users will be surprised that even though HDC Titan is big in terms of size and weight, the candy bar designed unit is surprisingly thin at 9.9mm. Not bad since it is close to the iPhone 4 white model which has a 9.5 mm thickness, a 0.2 mm extra from its black counterpart. The HDC Titan retains the comfortable rectangular shape its predecessors have since it has smooth, rounded corners that fits well in the hands of the users. The unit exudes a feel of minimalism with its carbon gray exterior at the back and black framing on the front side. Users will also notice that this hefty but solid handset is made with aluminum housing.

When it comes to HTC Titans battery, it is not far off from the recent Android phone releases. It has an average continuous talk time capacity of 11.83 hours while at standby mode, the handset can last for as long as 360 hours.

One thing that smart phone users will love in HDC Titan is the high camera resolution that most competing Android phones lack. With an 8MP resolution, users can capture lifelike photos of stunning moments. Video conferencing is also possible via Skype. Unlike traditional point and shoot cameras, HDC Titans camera features a f/2.2 lens with dual LED flash and BSI sensor. The images produced from these cameras show almost life-like colors and are not blurry. There are instances though that the exposure of the images is too short, resulting to shaded details being lost.

When it comes to the software, HDC Titan boasts of its capacity to run in a Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS. It also has a 512 MB RAM and a single core 1500 MHz processor. These features give HTC Titan users smoother experience in loading a variety of multimedia like games and videos. HTC Titan has a built-in internal memory of 16 GB to enable users to store their favorite movies and songs. Not bad for a mid-range phone!

The HTC Titan supports different avenues for connectivity. It has a 2.1 Bluetooth version and is Wi-Fi enabled. Connecting to personal computers for data and file sharing is possible with the microUSB port found at the bottom part of the phone. Users will also notice that this latest HTC phone model includes a DLNA connectivity option. This can be useful in connecting to a television or any external display for streaming of photos, videos, and music.

With all the features mentioned, smart phone users can give the HTC Titan a try so they can get that Windows Phone 7 experience in their phone.

Extra safety features are often very inexpensive upfront and mean long-term savings on insurance premiums.
Before getting these features, talk to your insurer to make sure you will get a discount.
We have provided a price efficiency rating to let you know the ratio of upfront cost to insurance savings. The higher the price efficiency rating, the sooner you will make up the cost with insurance savings.

Add On Headrest

Protects against whiplash, head, neck, and back injuries. This is essentially a foam pad that attaches to the front of your headrest. It will allow you to rest your head while driving, rather than having to keep in hovering 6-inches from the rest.

Right now, your options are either to hold your head hovering without rest or to sit completely erect at a 90-degree, L-shape.
The add on headrest is an elegant solution to that problem that will really save your neck in a crash. Independent studies have proved it!
Plus, driving is just more comfortable.

Price Efficiency Rating: 7 – Will become higher as more insurance companies do their own studies on its effectiveness in reducing injury.

Signal Mirrors

These side mirrors flash LED turn signals so that it is clearer to other drivers that you are turning. There will be fewer collisions this way. Plus, the LEDs are very energy efficient, long-lasting, and cute!

Price Efficiency Rating: 5 – Installation can be pretty costly.

Child Car-seats

Getting the right child safety devices in your vehicle can save you big insurance money. If you ask your agent to recommend a car-seat, they may actually be able to offer you a discount because they know your child will have a much smaller chance of injury and death.
If your child’s improved safety isn’t a big enough reward, the savings will be!

  • Rear-facing seats are best, but never put them in front of an active frontal airbag
  • Do not incline seats more than 45 degrees
  • Connect all the straps and harnesses correctly
  • Pay attention to the expiration date on the car-seat

Price Efficiency Rating: 5-9 – Getting the best seat money can buy is better protection for your child and saves you more in the long run.

Sensors and Cameras

While these futuristic features are commonly thought of as expensive add-ons for luxury vehicles, they are becoming quite inexpensive as people and insurers realize they have huge safety and savings bonuses. As more statistics become available, insurers are seeing the proof that these features really do prevent many crashes and collisions, which means bigger discounts and lower rates as you get into fewer incidents.

  • Lane-departure warning
  • Front-collision warning
  • Blind-spot detection
  • Electronic stability control

Price Efficiency Rating: 5 – Once costs come down, this efficiency rating may well soar to a 10! For now though, it may take a year to recoup costs. However, if it saves you from a collision, which it very well might, you’ve instantly got your money’s worth.

Car Insurance Quotes

If your current insurance provider doesn’t give you significant discounts for extra safety options, consider switching. Car insurance quotes will help you find a more affordable provider. You can even compare policy details and rates from the best insurance companies in minutes using online car insurance quotes.

Sunglasses have and always will be an extremely important fashion accessory for many people around the world. They are particularly important in the United States and across Europe due to large spread sunny climates that they have. They are an item that is worn by young and old people and by both men and women alike. The large majority of people wearing them however know very little about them and purely buy them for how they look.

The given name of sunglasses relates to the fact that they are primarily designed to protect the eyes from the harmful UV and other rays that the sun gives out. Without the use of proper sunglasses, these rays can seriously damage a persons eyes. They can cause dark pouches, wrinkles and in severe cases even cataract or blindness. Exposing the eyes to too much light will generally cause a great deal of discomfort too. When outside the eye will see far more sunlight than it would inside a building. Without a suitable pair of sunglasses, this discomfort can lead to severe headaches or even migraines. These can be debilitating. The glasses will protect against these symptoms.

With the increasing popularity of sunglasses over the years, there is now even the possibility of attaining prescription glasses too. This means that those individuals who may be near or far sighted can have their prescription lenses fitted with UV protection so they too can have stylish sunglasses.

There are various different types of sunglasses available on today’s market. Ordinary reading glasses that are colored refer to prescription glasses that are slightly or heavily tinted. These will give a limited amount of protection to the user from any string light they come into contact with.

Clip on sunglasses, although somewhat dated, are still used by many around the world. They are a cheaper alternative for those who have to wear prescription glass that literally will fit over the top of their existing glasses.

Integrative sunglasses allow the user to combine colored or tinted lenses with their prescription lenses. They are fashionable and therefore extremely popular amongst their wearers.

Polarized sunglasses are the most technologically advanced and fashionable on the market. All of the big named designers will sport this kind on lens. It offers maximum protection to the eye without losing any style. These are the most expensive and sort after type of sunglasses on the market today.

Web Hosting The Pros And Cons

Posted In: Tips by admin

The Pros and Cons of Managed Hosting

Managed hosting is a type of internet hosting using a dedicated server. For you, the client, this means that you have the server to yourself and you do not share digital space with anyone else. This is also called a dedicated hosting service. Using a dedicated service like this will enable you to have complete control over the programs, operating system, the hardware, and other specifications. The server administration is usually provided through the hosting company as an add-on service. In many cases, a dedicated or managed hosting service can have fewer overheads and can cost much less to run or purchase for a company.

It is ideal for large online corporations, as the extra room allowed by the exclusivity of the server can enable more programs and computer to run off the server.

Another ideal feature for larger companies is the ability to perform updates and patches to programs, whereas a shared hosting service would prevent that. In addition to this, the availability of high powered networks from multiple providers enables server providers to secure massive amounts of bandwidth, thus providing for a lower price for its clients.

There are on the other hand a few downsides to this hosting.

It does come at a price as most managed servers will cost significantly more than unmanaged servers. They can mean different things to different companies, so you must be clear on these differences before committing.

Problems can still occur on your server, so you must feel you can trust the company that is supplying this service to you.

And lastly you will have less control of your server, so this is maybe not so much of an option for the technically minded that prefer to have more control of their server environment.

In this scenario you can see the pros really do out way the cons.

Shared Hosting – Weighing up the pros and the cons

In sharp contrast, shared hosting means a simple partition is placed in-between companies programs and services. Often, programs or services may even be shared. This allows for viruses and bad code to easily be shared across the partition. This allows bots and other harmful malware to creep across the partitioned platforms and destroy your data. Even though shared hosting may be cheaper than dedicated hosting, in the long run it really isn’t. Shared hosting is also improbable for most companies in other respects, since it is not large enough to hold most the programs a large corporation would take. Additionally, you the client cannot use the programs you want. You are forced to use the hardware, programs, and operating system that are provided by the host of the shared server.

On the plus side, it can provide reliable web presence without having special technical skills.

It can be divided into 2 subtypes -Free and Paid.

Free Hosting allows you to try new ideas without the expense. It provides you with everything necessary for your floating site.

You should however NOT expect the best conditions for your site as Bandwidth and Disk space is limited.

Web statistics are also poorly provided.

Paid Hosting provides features that free hosting doesn’t such as multiply e-mail, MySQI and PHP which are all supported. Whether you want to host a small, intermediate or large professional business website, this can be used.

Using shared hosting you get a very good chance of hosting your site on a powerful, well administrated server at a low monthly cost.
